WHO WE ARE

The Ideological production, policy outcomes, and wartime practices is a three-year research project which examines how ideology is manufactured and imposed in wartime. By combining media analysis, policy tracing, and field-based case studies, the team will consider some of the dilemmas facing the Russian authorities in the occupied territories of Ukraine and highlight contradictions between Kremlin rhetoric and occupied reality. This may reveal not only where local resistance persists despite coercion but also explore the Kremlin’s multifaced strategy to “win the peace” through economic reconstruction and development. Understanding these mechanisms is essential for crafting realistic strategies of de-occupation and countering Russian propaganda.
